PARIS (Reuters) – Bosnia has reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza, the World Organisation for Animal Health said on Tuesday, as a seasonal wave of the disease known as bird flu continues in Europe.
The outbreak on a farm in the town of Rogatica in the autonomous Serb Republic killed three birds out of a flock of 80, with the remaining birds culled, the Paris-based WOAH said, quoting information from Bosnian authorities.
