PARIS (Reuters) – French carmaker Renault said on Tuesday it was taking note of Nissan’s announcement that Ivan Espinosa, its chief planning officer, would take the helm from April 1, succeeding Makoto Uchida as leader of the troubled Japanese carmaker.
Renault, which welcomes Nissan’s intention to implement and complete its turnaround plan, said in a statement to Reuters it was confident Espinosa will be keen to continue the relationship established between Nissan and Renault in recent years.
