(Reuters) – British finance minister Rachel Reeves is planning a new, multibillion-pound public spending squeeze in next week’s Spring Statement, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.
Reeves is looking for further cuts to fill a hole in the public finances and will trim proposed budgets for Whitehall departments later in the parliament, the report said, citing officials briefed on her plans.
