Russia accuses Ukraine of sabotaging pause in energy strikes with drone attack on oil depot

(Reuters) – The Russian military on Wednesday accused Ukraine of trying to sabotage a 30-day moratorium on striking each other’s energy infrastructure with a deliberate drone attack on an oil depot in southern Russia.

The Defence Ministry said in a statement that the attack had taken place hours after a call between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in which they had agreed on the moratorium.

The overnight Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire at the oil depot, which is located near the village of Kavkazskaya in the Krasnodar region, Russia regional authorities said earlier.
