Nestle to divest two factories in Germany, citing rising costs

BERLIN (Reuters) – Nestle will divest two factories in Germany, the world’s largest packaged food company said on Thursday, citing overcapacity due to rising costs and consumer price sensitivity.

The decision to close the factory in Neuss in mid-2026 and sell the one in Conow at the start of next year affects about 225 jobs, according to the company.
