EasyJet flies larger aircraft on key routes after Heathrow closure

LONDON (Reuters) – British airline easyJet will fly larger aircraft on key routes on Friday and over the weekend to provide additional seats to help passengers affected by Heathrow’s sudden closure due to a huge fire, the company said.

A number of key routes between Britain and Milan, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Paris, Munich and Madrid will have 186 seat A320 aircraft operating instead of the smaller 156 A319 aircraft, the easyJet said.

EasyJet does not operate to or from Heathrow, so its flights are all operating as normal, it added.
