SOUTHEND, England (Reuters) -The chief executive of easyJet, Kenton Jarvis, said the Britain-based airline was considering developing a loyalty programme, but there was no imminent plan to launch one.
“We are not about to launch anything,” he told reporters at the opening of the airline’s base in Southend, 40 miles east of London.
He added that changes to the loyalty program at British Airways offered a good opportunity for new entrants in the market.
His comments come as Ryanair launched a new subscription service for its customers earlier this month.
He added that he was seeing strong demand for travel to North Africa while cutting capacity on routes between destinations within Britain.
