MADRID (Reuters) -Spanish airports operator Aena said on Wednesday its first-quarter net profit rose 15% from a year ago as passenger traffic to and from one of the world’s most-visited countries is on course to top last year’s record.
The company, which operates all of Spain’s airports as well as some in Latin America and Britain, said it booked a net profit of 301.3 million euros ($342.94 million) beating analysts’ average forecast of 298 million euros computed by LSEG.
Spanish airports received 4.7% more passengers during the quarter amid a continuing tourism boom in Spain.
