WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The Trump administration is weighing a plan to slash the 145% tariff on Chinese imports by more than half as soon as next week, the New York Post reported on Thursday, citing unidentified sources.
The White House dismissed the report as speculation.
“When decisions on tariffs are made, they will come directly from the President. Anything else is just pure speculation,” a White House spokesperson said.
