TOKYO (Reuters) -Senior officials of Japan’s ruling coalition agreed on the need to compile a supplementary budget in autumn to fund a fresh stimulus package, Kyodo news agency reported on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba’s administration has been under pressure to take additional steps to cushion the economic blow from higher U.S. tariffs ahead of an upper house election slated for July.
