Russia and China to hold naval drills in Sea of Japan in August, Interfax reports

MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russia and China will hold joint naval drills in the Sea of Japan from August 1 to 5, Interfax news agency reported on Wednesday, citing a statement from Russia’s Pacific Fleet.

The exercises are “defensive in nature and are not directed against other countries,” the fleet said.
