NEW DELHI (Reuters) -India has awarded a tax card upgrade project, known as PAN 2.0, to IT services firm LTIMindtree for 7.9 billion rupees ($90.14 million), according to a tender document released by the government.
The government had received four bids for the contract, the document showed.
LTIMindtree shares rose as much as 1.2% to 5,077 rupees after the news.
The project, approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration in November 2024, is expected to be operational in 18 months, a government source, who did not want to be named, said.
LTIMindtree and the income tax department did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests for comment.
