Italy will ask Stellantis to continue investing in the country, deputy PM says

ROME (Reuters) – Italy will ask Stellantis to continue investing in the country, and the automaker is giving the government reassuring signals, the deputy prime minister said on Tuesday.

“Stellantis cannot leave Italy,” Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani told state broadcaster RAI, stressing the close link between the country and the automaker.

“Signals are reassuring … we will ask to continue investing in Italy,” said Tajani, who is also the leader of the Forza Italia coalition party.
