BEIJING (Reuters) -Chinese authorities held meetings with the country’s food delivery service providers including JD.com, Meituan and Alibaba’s Ele.me to discuss competition in the sector, the country’s market regulator said on Tuesday.
The companies were asked to abide by laws and regulations, compete fairly and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, business operators and food delivery workers, the regulator’s statement showed.
